AUDITIONS 2012-2013 (M/V) – 21st and 22nd of MARCH 2012

De Stilte holds auditions for trainees and professional dancers m/v. A bachelor education in modern dance is required.

The first International Stiltefestival is a fact! From 14 to 18 May 2011, the city of Breda will be the centre of the International Stiltefestival, hosted by dance company for youth De Stilte in cooperation with Brabantstad, candidate for Cultural Capital 2018. With four Dutch premières, the festival presents wonderful dance performances for children by companies from eight different countries.

Aside from publicly accessible performances, the festival offers a variety of school performances. Prior to the festival, unsuspecting shoppers are surprised with 1-2tjes - short dance duets - throughout the city centre of Breda. During a bicylce tour along three heritage sites in Breda on Saturday May 14 the audience witnesses the world première of newly choreographed short duets between a dancer and a musician: 3x3.

Next to dance, the festival places the child in the spotlight, in the vast conviction that for children only the best is good enough!
