1-2tjes: an encounter of two dancersApril 30th Onze Lieve Vrouwe Church Breda 15.00 and 16.00 free entrance
Ahead of the festival, De Stilte dances 1-2tjes on public locations throughout Breda. 1-2tjes are dance duets on location, performed on a mobile floor of 3,50 x 3,50 metres. Sitting around the dance floor, the audience witnesses from up close the confrontation that unfolds between two dancers. In a short time frame of ten minutes, the audience is introduced to dance. 3x3 stands for three performances, created by three dancers/choreographers and three musicians/composers, executed on a surface of 3x3 meters. Limited by a number of parameters - one dancers, one musicians, a dance floor of 3x3 meter - young talents in dance and music were challenged to create a short performance of 3x3 minutes. Both dance and music are executed live. On Saturday the 14th of May the audience is taken on a bicycle tour to remarkable heritage sites in Breda where they witness the world première of these three performances. |
