policy

De Stilte is the only professional dance company in the Southern region of the Netherlands that focuses entirely on developing and producing performances for children. Education is an integral part of the applied method of working.

For the future, De Stilte not only wants to apply its qualities to theatre visitors and school youth, but also reach out to those less privileged. Nationally and internationally.

From the vision that imagination offers new insights and possibilities, De Stilte believes every child should be put in touch with the magic of the unknown. A child that makes the transition from imitation to imagination takes a leap forward from something existing to something new. In a world that is changing rapidly, such creativity is indispensable.

That same creativity needs to be stimulated with the dancers, the artistic director and other employees of the company. Only if we are susceptible and open-minded to the world around us, growth is possible.
